Executive Branch Updates | Admissions Transparency: What the ACTS/IPEDS Overhaul Means for Your Institution
February 6, 2026 | 12:00 pm – 12:35 pm EST
About this Event
The second Trump Administration issued a sweeping set of changes to reporting requirements for Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data, in line with the Secretary of Education’s August 7, 2025 directive advancing a renewed focus on merit in college admissions and Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard /UNC. Colleges and universities must quickly update their processes to ensure compliance with the upcoming March 18, 2026, reporting deadline. Campus counsel must also closely monitor and advise their university clients to prepare for increased scrutiny after the reporting deadline.
Please enjoy this complimentary 45-minute audio-only briefing during which Scott Kelly, Shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, Lisa O’Conner, Associate General Counsel at Northern Arizona University, and Paul White, Partner, at Resolution Economics, LLC will:
- Outline the new IPEDS requirements and explain their recent evolution;
- Provide an overview of this new compliance environment, including what proactive steps to consider when completing IPEDS reports and suggest risk management strategies; and
- Focus on leading practices that colleges and universities can take to adapt to these new set of standards.
