DESCRIPTION:Webinar\n\nNavigating Title VI in 2026: Practical Guidance for Higher Education\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Details\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\n\nThe Pregnant Workers Fairness (PWFA) and Providing Urgent Maternal Protections (PUMP) Acts were signed into law by President Biden on December 29\, 2022. PWFA requires covered employers to provide reasonable accommodations for an employee’s known limitations correlated with pregnancy\, childbirth\, or related medical conditions\, unless doing so will cause the employer an undue hardship; while the PUMP Act expands workplace protections for lactating employees and requires employers to provide reasonable break time and private space for personnel to express milk while at work. On August 7\, 2023\, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for implementing the PWFA’s protections for pregnant workers\, and the resulting Rules were published on April 19.   \n\n\n\nPlease join us for this 2-hour webinar in which experienced NACUA member-panelists will cover topics\, including:    \n\n\n\n\nAn overview of the PWFA; \n\n\n\nAn overview of the PUMP Act; \n\n\n\nImplications of the EEOC’s new rules around the PWFA’s protections for pregnant workers; and \n\n\n\nImplementing these significant changes in the support for pregnant and parenting personnel. \n\n\n\n\nWho should attend? \n\n\n\nThis webinar will interest in-house and outside counsel to colleges and universities\, senior human resources personnel\, and those tasked with implementing campus accommodations.   ad start on anticipated web-based accessibility standards under Title III..  \n\n\n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n \n \n \n \n Deborah W.
